Course Outline
Part 1:
-Understand Emotional Intelligence and its five elements
-Understand the different functions of the brain and where emotions, thoughts and information
are processed
-Develop greater understanding of own leadership strengths and challenges with EQ-I 2.0®
Leadership
-Identify own emotional triggers, and apply immediate reasoning skills towards
better self-management
-Employ empathetic listening skills during crucial situations and frame up difficult conversations
-Apply four types of influencing strategies and recognise the situations to use them to
maximise collaboration.
Part 2:
-Understand one’s behaviour in the context of team, team learning, and team development
-Identify strengths and behaviours of diverse individuals by communicating effectively to
gain buy-in
-Demonstrate knowledge of psychological and behavioural aspects of stakeholder’s
engagement and communication.
-Practise strategies to reduce conflict and build effective relationships.
-Identify ‘The Model of The World’ Concept and develop methods to overcome key barriers
to effective communication.
